This car is a regular at our summertime classic car show, Cruisin' Grand. One of the nicer examples I've seen. He has Jerry Reed blasting on a loop the entire time.

Actually, I don't think I've ever seen (or noticed) the owner.

I didn't say I disapprove, I'm a child of the 80's after all....Oh Sidepipes! Those are the 70's mutton chops in auto form. ( I like those too, I'm just sayin')

Hehe. I'm just sayin' that it started in the 60s and lasted up until the 90s. Mullets didn't have that kind of staying power. They were out of style in less than 10 years.

I think this one is a '78, though the movie featured a '77.

Yeah, that little 1600 was sweeeeeeet. Also love that the yellow sign right in front of it says "Parking for pre-1974 American vehicles only." I'm all for doing a classics-only event, but limiting it to American vehicles is some grade-A bull shit.

I was just in LA for a couple days and I saw a BRE liveried 1600. The muscle car people tend to stick together, as do most cliques of the automotive world. I like the open events where all the strange and interesting show up.

Yup, upon closer inspection it has '78 seats as well. "Custom" was different in '77, should look like these:

I've been shocked to see a few lately. The mullet still haunts our world, man.

The shaker decal also leads it to be an olds 403... It's the small details that bug me. He either went with the 77 front end, or his nose badge is the wrong color.
